Evaluation of participation in the Slovak Youth Chess Championship – May 2025
Our player Stela Saloková defended her 2nd place in the D14 category at the MSR in children's and youth chess. Last year she participated in the World Championship in Brazil and this year she is preparing for the European Championship in Montenegro.

The other players were not at all lost in the competition of about 320 participants:
- 2nd place – Saloková Stela – D14,
- 6th place – Plančárová Monika – D10,
- 7th place – Frederik Olejník – CH10,
- 17th place – Koštialik Imrich – CH10,
- 27th place – Oleár Sebastián – CH12,
- 26th place – Sekerák Filip – CH14,
- 35th place – Koštialik Juraj – CH16,
- 10th place – Vargoško Juraj – CH18.
On Monday, May 26, 2025, we met with the participants of the championship and appreciated their performances. Individual participants shared with us their experiences from the championships. When asked how long they have been playing chess, the answer was often surprising - I have been playing chess for a year or a year and a half.
At our meeting, everyone was honored with sweet cookies.
