In the 3rd league, we are in 1st place with full points in the new year 2025

Zdravým Vás šachoví priatelia.

Great news! The Slávia PU Prešov B team is in 1st place in the 3rd league after the winter part with full points. We also managed the January matches against BŠK Bardejov and BLS Bardejov, so we have full points with three rounds to go.

Ostávajú nám ešte zápasy s Modrou nad Cirochou (sú na 2. mieste, majú o 3 body menej), ďalej s Tatranom Prešov a Reinter Humenné juniori.

I believe that we will bring it to a successful end and win the 3rd league. It would be a great success! After about 10 years, we would have won participation in the 2nd league. Although we are still in the 2nd league now, unfortunately we are not doing well and we only have 4 points and are in penultimate place.

 Thanks to all the players who are involved in this success. I am especially pleased that more than half of the players are under 15 years old, which is our hope for the future. The other teams - Slavia PU Prešov C - mainly our youngest players play there, and the teams in the 4th league also play according to their abilities and gain new and new experiences.

 For the young people, it is also preparation for the Slovak Youth Championship, which will be held in April 2025.
