Final standings in the 3rd league | We are in 2nd place – March 2025

After a nerve-wracking battle, we finished in 2nd place in the 3rd league!

Until the last round, it was not clear how our team TJ Slávia PU Prešov B would place in the 3rd league. The game was 2nd or 3rd place. In the end, we managed to place in 2nd place thanks to the victory in Sabinov 3.5 - 4.5 in the 3rd round. We congratulate all the players and at the same time thank you for the nice representation of the club.

Thanks are also due to our two reinforcements from other clubs – Matej Dlugoš and Michal Hudák. They were important reinforcements for us.

The most matches were played by Matej Dlugoš, František Vrábeľ and Miroslav Dragula. They played 8 matches out of 9. The most points were scored by Matej Dlugoš and František Vrábeľ – 6 points each.

A big thank you also goes to our players and heroes on the first chessboards Peter Lapka, Jozef Varga and Juraj Vargošek. They fought bravely, although they often had opponents with a significantly stronger rating. They also had to face GM, WIM, FM players of the opponent. Thank you again.
